What a fantastic day at the Sea of Galilee. That is one of my fondest memories from my time in Israel - the time I spend by the Sea of Galilee. I remember Capernum the best and I remember the feeling that Jesus Walked Here so frequently during our time in that area. It doesn't feel so changed from 2,000 years ago. I love the application that you are finding in every place you visit. They are beautiful testimonies. I'll go back and forward Hannah's email with suggestions for those trying to decided on a mission. I must not have sent that to you. love, mom
Laurisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04863171759621274209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7585761715742199135.post-44969338088262174372012-11-25T21:32:47.259-08:002012-11-25T21:32:47.259-08:00What a beautiful testimony, Rachel! I cannot believe she is actually there." I look forward to talking to you in person about the important decisions you are making. I haven't been getting emails from your mom, so if you would be so kind as to forward that to me I would really appreciate it. Like I said, I'm feeling ok about it no matter how it goes. I definitely want to go through the temple this year, though--I'm hoping just after the end of this semester. I know it's a little earlier than usual, but that's one thing I've felt good about.
Love you so much! Hannah shared some thoughts on making the decision to go on a mission in her most recent email (which seemed sort of blatantly directed at Mariel, but it was good counsel). I assume my mom forwarded to email to you, but if not I can send it your way. As a girl who wanted to serve (but had an attractive reason not to ;) I feel your pain! I'm so glad you have been able to feel peace on the matter. Heavenly Father really does make things right as we surrender our will and timing to him.
